Four Day First Aid In The Workplace (HSE)
This course usually takes place over four consecutive days on your premises.
A certificate, valid for three years and recognised by the Health & Safety Executive, is awarded to each student who reaches the required standard. To reach the required standard Students must pass an examination carried out by two independent assessors. This certificate qualifies the holder to act as a First Aider at Work under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
We provide all teaching aids (i.e. mannequins, etc.) we also provide each Student with a course manual.

2. Communication and delegation of responsibilities in an emergency.
3. Simple record keeping and stock control.
4. Blood borne viruses (HIV, Hepatitis)
5. The unconscious casualty.
6. The recovery position.
7. The DRABC assessment.
8. The causes of suffocation & asphyxiation.
9. Resuscitation techniques.
10. The causes of heart stoppage and diseases of the heart.
11. C-P-R techniques.
12. The bleeding casualty & The treatment of a bleeding casualty.
13. The different types of shock & The causes.
14. The choking casualty & The techniques needed to clear a casualty's airway.
15. The treatment of a burn/scald & The assessment of a burn.
16. Eye injuries & The treatment of eye injuries.
17. Fractures & The treatment of fractures.
18. Muscle strains & Ligament sprains and the treatment of them.
19. Poisons,gases,fumes & There treatments.
20. Epilepsy/Diabetes/Asthma.
