Food Safety Awareness For Retail (CIEH Level 1)



Duration: Half Day

This qualification has been developed to raise awareness of key food safety issues and to provide employees with an induction to food hygiene, prior to undertaking the Level 2 Award in Food Safety.

Who Needs This Qualification?

The CIEH Level 1 Awards in Food Safety is advised for staff induction training. They are also well suited to individuals handling low risk or wrapped foods, including:

  • New employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge
  • Employees handling ow-risk or wrapped foods
  • Front of house employees, such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff
  • Employees for whom English is a second language
  • Employees with special needs
